Harissa

Ingredients

1½ cup Broken Wheat (You can use Haleem whole wheat too)
½ cup Brown Rice
Salt as per taste

FOR TOPPINGS

Cooked Kheema
Garam Masala Powder as needed in serving
Jeera Powder in Serving
Fried Onions

METHOD

Soak wheat and rice in 4 cups of warm water over night or at least 6 hours.

Add the soaked grains along with the water in a pressure cooker and cook on a medium heat until 2 whistle.
Off the heat and let the pressure subside by itself.
Open the pressure cooker lid and bring the pot back to heat.
Add salt as per taste and stir the mixture thoroughly. The harisa has to be medium thick in consistency, slurpy and sticky. Add little hot water if its too thick make slurpy.

Once done, serve in a shallow dish, sprinkle some Garam Masala powder, jeera powder and top it with cooked kheema, or with Bhuna Gosh, or with half fry egg, or with mix veggies and enjoy with Naan, Bread Toast, or simple Pav. Enjoy!!
