Bread Upma

Ingredients

6 to 8   nos.      Bread Slices (You can use leftover bread)
½         cup      Finely Chopped Onions
¾         cup      De-seeded Tomatoes Finely Chopped
½         tsp       Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
½         tsp       Red Chilli Powder
1          no        Green Chilli De-seeded & Finely Chopped
½         tsp       Rai
½         no        Lemon Juice.
2          tblsp    Oil
½         cup      Nylon Sev for GarNICHE
½         cup      Chopped Fresh Coriander
Few Curry leaves
Salt as per taste

Method

Cut bread slices into small pieces.
Heat a frying pan and roast all the bread pieces tossing evenly for 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove it on a flat plate and let it cool.
Heat oil in a non stick kadhai.
Add rai, curry leaves, green chilies and sauté until rai crackles.
Add onions and sauté until translucent.
Add tomatoes and stir mix well. Add dry masala, ½ cup of water, lemon juice and stir well.
Crush lightly the bread pieces with your hand and add it in the kadhai.
Mix tossing well, remove from heat and serve it on a plate.

GarNICHE with sev and fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy!!
