Creamy Pateta
Pateta is a french word for Potatoes
Ingredients
2 no Large Potatoes
½ cup Maida
2 cups Thick Bread Crumbs
For Dressing
Chilli Powder
Salt and Pepper
½ cup Fresh Cream
½ cup Yogurt
Fresh Chopped Herbs
Oil for shallow frying
For GarNICHE
Nylon Sev
Method
Peel and chop potatoes into wedges. Boil it until its 70% done. Do not over boil it. Drain the potato in a colander and rinse it in cold running water. Keep it aside and let it completely dry.
In a bowl add all the dressing ingredients and mix well. Keep it aside.
In a mixing bowl add maida and water and mix it into light thin batter. Spread bread crumbs in a plate and keep it ready.
Heat a about ½ cup oil in a non stick frying pan. Take potato wedges and dip one by one in batter then roll it in bread crumbs and shallow fry it until light brown. Remove the fried wedges on a kitchen paper towel.
In a serving plate line up the wedges in style and top up with fresh cream dressing and nylon sev. Serve to your guest on any occasion and they shall be delighted. Enjoy!!
