Mango Murabba
Ingredients
About a Kilo Raw Mangoes1 ½ kg sugar
Cinnamon and cloves
½ tsp Red Chilli powder (optional)
Some saffron strands (dissolved)
½ tsp cardamom powder
Method
Peel
mangoes and grate them. Add Sugar and chilli powder and keep it aside
in a tight container for 24 hours. Next day take a sauce pan. Heat it on
a medium high flame and add the mango mixture, and stir it till all the
sugar melts and thickens. Bring to boil stirring continuously. Make
sure it does not burn at the bottom of the pan. Off the heat and add
loong, elaichi powder and saffron liquid. Mix well and let it cool down.
GarNICHE as you like and Serve with bread, cake or ice-creams.
Tips:
You can make any fruit Murabba with the above method, adjust flavours accordingly.
You can spice up Murabba as per your taste too.
