Hide & Seek Banana Pudding

Playful banana-chocolate biscuit pudding with layers of cream and crunch
Yield: Serves 6 | Total time: 25 minutes + 2 hours chilling

This nostalgic no-bake dessert layers crumbled Hide & Seek biscuits with banana slices, whipped cream, and custard. It’s easy to assemble, has a delightful contrast of textures, and is perfect for make-ahead party puddings or comforting chilled treats.

Ingredients

Base & Layers

  • 1 large packet Hide & Seek chocolate biscuits

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1½ cups whipped cream

  • 1 cup prepared vanilla custard (chilled)

  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup (optional)

For Garnish

  • Crushed Hide & Seek biscuits

  • Banana slices

  • Chocolate shavings or chips

Method

  1. Prepare the pudding base:
Crush the Hide & Seek biscuits by hand or in a food processor to a coarse crumble (not powdered).

  2. Layer the pudding:
In a dessert dish or individual glasses, start with a layer of crushed biscuits.
Add a layer of sliced bananas, followed by a layer of vanilla custard.

  3. Add whipped cream:
Spoon or pipe a layer of whipped cream over the custard. If desired, drizzle a little chocolate syrup for richness.

  4. Repeat layers:
Repeat the layering process once more – biscuits, bananas, custard, and whipped cream – until the dish is full.

  5. Chill:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours for the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.

  6. Garnish and serve:
Before serving, garnish with more crushed biscuits, banana slices, and chocolate shavings.

Chef’s Notes

  • Use fresh bananas just before layering to avoid browning.

  • For more flavor, dip biscuits in milk or coffee before layering.

  • You can make this fully eggless by using eggless custard powder.

  • Adjust the sweetness based on the ripeness of the bananas and custard.

  • Keeps well in the fridge for 24–36 hours — a great make-ahead dessert.
