Roohani Dal
This dal is one of the most healthiest and tasty dal I have ever made. You shall also love it. Please do not forget to serve the way I have shown and also do comment your review on this.
1 cup Onions Diced
2 tblsp Minced Garlic
1 tblsp Minced Ginger
1 tsp Haldi Powder
1 tsp Jeera
2 tblsp Olive Oil
Salt as Per Taste
1 Fresh Green Chilli Thinly Sliced
Fresh Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped
½ Lemon Juice
Cucumber Raita
Ingredients
2 cups Red Masoor Dal1 cup Onions Diced
2 tblsp Minced Garlic
1 tblsp Minced Ginger
1 tsp Haldi Powder
1 tsp Jeera
2 tblsp Olive Oil
Salt as Per Taste
FOR SERVING
¼ cup Green Onions Chopped1 Fresh Green Chilli Thinly Sliced
Fresh Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped
½ Lemon Juice
Cucumber Raita
Method
Wash dal thoroughly and drain the water. In a sauce pot add dal, 3 cups of water, haldi, salt as per taste and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Simmer the heat and let dal cook for another 1 whistle or 5 to 7 minutes more.
Once done, off the heat and when the pressure of the cooker is cooled open the lid. Stir the dal thoroughly.
Take a frying pan and heat olive oil. Add jeera, once jeera crackles add garlic and ginger. Saute until flavours and give tadka on the dal.
How to Serve
In a large bowl take a heap full of hot steam rice. Add two large spoon full of dal and GarNICHE with green onions, coriander, green chillies, & lemon juice. Do not forget to serve this with cucumber raita.
