A double boiler also know as (bain marie) is a process of heating ingredients gently without burning the actual flavours of it. Double boiling is actually a scientific way of cooking things. There is no need to purchase a double boiler. You can do this with your regular untesils at home.
Utensils Need
1 Big Stainless Steel Pot (With Handle or Without Handle Does not matter)
1 Small Stainless Steel Pot (With Handle or Without Handle Does not matter)
One inch high stainless steel ring to place in the bigger pot.
Note: The two stainless steel pots should be such that the smaller pot should fit inside the bigger pot leaving enough space.
How to Double Boil?
Step 1:
Place the stainless steel ring at the bottom of the bigger pot and fill water till half way of the pot.
Step 2:
Place the filled pot on heat and place the smaller pot inside the bigger pot.
Step 3:
Put your recipe ingredients as per the directions and cook.
Note: The water in the bigger pot should be that much that it can touch the smaller pot making sure that it does not spill outside while boiling.
