5 Spice Chicken Strips

INGREDIENTS

MEAT

300 gms Boneless Chicken Strips
1 tsp Five Spice Powder (For Recipes Click Here)

VEGETABLES

¼ Yellow Bell Pepper, Julienne
¼ Green Bell Pepper, Julienne
¼ Red Bell Pepper, Julienne
½ cup of Thinly Sliced Fresh Green Onion

SAUCE

2 tblsp Minced Ginger
2 tblsp Minced Garlic
¼ cup Soy sauce
2 tsp Vinegar
½ cup Chicken Stock
2 tsp Sugar

OTHERS

¼ cup Cornflour
1 Sesame Oil as per need
Salt as per Taste

METHOD

Place a chinese wok on high heat with 2 tblsp of sesame oil caramelise the garlic and ginger. Once brown, add in chicken strips and saute until chicken is 60 % cooked.
Add in all the vegetables, five spice powder, and toss the chicken well with it. Add in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and chicken stock, stir and bring it to a boil for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, add 2 tblsp of water with cornflour and mix it well. Once the chicken start boiling, slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture until the sauce is thick.
NOTE: Use a small amount of the cornstarch mixture if you are serving this dish on later stage. Warm the sauce before serving then you can use.
GarNICHE on top of steamed rice, or noodles with finely sliced green onions. Enjoy!
